Founded in December 2025, Trilogy is a luxury hair salon created by three experienced stylists, Sharron, Amy and Helen — who have worked side by side for many years before opening their doors together. Our shared vision was simple: to create a welcoming, elegant space where every client feels relaxed, listened to and completely looked after.
At Trilogy, you’ll always be in safe hands. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional hair services using only the very best products, including Wella for all our colour work, ensuring beautiful, high-quality results every time. Alongside our expertise, we believe friendly, personal service is just as important, making your visit feel as enjoyable as it is professional.
You’ll find us at 27 George Hudson Street, perfectly located just seconds from Rougier Street bus station, next door to an NCP car park, minutes from the railway station and still right in the heart of the city. Easy to reach, effortless to enjoy. We look forward to welcoming you to Trilogy.
Sharron Butler
Trilogy Co-Owner
Sharron has over 35 years’ experience within the hairdressing industry and remains as passionate about her craft today as she was at the very start of her career. She has achieved extensive professional qualifications and attended many advanced specialist technical courses in London and Manchester. Sharron is also a fully trained barber, giving her a broad and versatile approach to hairdressing.
Alongside her salon career, Sharron spent 17 years as an educator and manager within a hairdressing training school, where she played a key role in developing future professionals. Education, high standards and attention to detail have always been at the heart of her work and continue to shape her approach at Trilogy.
Sharron is the co-founder of Trilogy, a brand new salon created alongside Amy, whom she personally trained from trainee level and has worked closely with for 11 years, and Helen, with whom she has worked for 9 years, developing a close and trusted working relationship.
Working at Trilogy as a self-employed independent stylist, Sharron offers a personal, professional service and welcomes both existing and new clients. She loves every aspect of hairdressing, from exceptional client care and consultation to the practical, technical skills of the craft, and takes pride in producing high-quality work to the very highest standard, every time.
Helen Dewsbury

I am one of the three owners of Trilogy York, a hair salon built on experience, care, and a genuinely personal approach. With over 40 years in hairdressing, I’ve had the privilege of working with all hair types and styles, always with the same aim — helping clients feel confident, comfortable, and completely themselves.
Alongside my salon career, I’ve taught Level 3 hairdressing at college, passing on skills, knowledge, and high standards to the next generation of stylists. I’ve also volunteered at a local hospice, an experience that has deeply shaped the calm, understanding, and respectful way I work with people.
At Trilogy, we are proud to be warm, professional, and friendly. Every appointment is unhurried, every client is listened to, and every style is tailored to suit you — all within a relaxed, welcoming hair salon where you can truly switch off and enjoy the experience.
Amy Axtel

Amy is an independent, self-employed stylist and one of the founders of Trilogy York.
Although Trilogy is a shared space rather than a partnership, Amy is proud to be one of the owners and to work independently within the salon.
Amy’s hairdressing journey began at just 14 years old when she started as a Saturday girl at Blake & Butler. She went on to complete her apprenticeship there before becoming a self-employed stylist in 2018 — a role she has continued to thrive in ever since. With years of experience behind her, Amy is passionate about her craft and takes real pride in delivering high-quality, personalised hair services.
For Amy, hairdressing is about so much more than hair. Her clients have become friends, and creating a relaxed, welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable and confident is at the heart of what she does. She is always excited to welcome new clients into her chair.
Trilogy York opened its doors in December 2025, and Amy is incredibly proud to be part of bringing the space to life. She can’t wait to watch Trilogy grow and is excited for what the future holds.

Hello! My name is James, and I have dedicated over 20 years to the hair industry, with more than a decade of that experience at Toni and Guy. I was also fortunate to expand my horizons by working in Vietnam for a year, enhancing my skills and perspective on hairstyling.
Self-employed for the past 9 years, I have built a loyal customer base that feels like family. I absolutely love what I do and take pride in creating beautiful transformations for my clients.
I’m thrilled to return to Trilogy Hair after a brief break and am ready to bring my passion for hairstyling back to my lovely clients.
I specialize in women’s and men’s short hair, and my expertise extends to men’s barbering, complete restyling, skin fades, mullets, as well as beard shaping and trimming. Whether you're looking for a chic new style or a classic cut, I’ve got you covered!
